Hi I’m Jamie! I’m a registered dietitian specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, and chronic dieting. My first passion in life was dance, and the pressure I felt to have a certain type of body wreaked havoc on my life, so I understand how difficult this road can be.  I also know that recovery is possible, and the hard work it takes to get there is so worth it. Now my passion is helping other people recover from disordered relationships to food and their bodies. I take a compassionate approach to nutrition therapy by meeting my clients where they are in their personal journeys and helping them make incremental changes in order to restore a peaceful relationship with food and their bodies. I enjoy listening to people’s personal stories and discovering what influences their beliefs about food and nutrition.

I graduated magna cum laude with a biology degree from UT Dallas in 2003, summa cum laude with a dietetics degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2011, received my dietetics training at the University of Minnesota in affiliation with the Emily Program, and became a registered dietitian in 2012. I’ve worked at various levels of care as an eating disorder dietitian at Timberline Knolls in the Chicago area, Eating Recovery Center Chicago, and as a Clinical Outreach specialist at Center For Discovery in Dallas/Ft. Worth.   I use all of my experience and education to provide my clients with the most relevant nutrition education to support their needs. I take a non-diet, Health at Every Size ®, Intuitive Eating approach to nutrition. I am trauma-informed, I believe in inclusion and acceptance, and I create a safe space for people in the LGBTQIA+ community.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with friends, traveling, and taking care of my two very fancy cats, the loves of my life, Igor and Mishka. If you have any questions about me or my philosophy, or would like to set up an appointment, please feel free to reach out to me. I can’t wait to meet you and get started!
